Please remind parents to check the forecast for the day and dress children appropriately. All students should be wearing a hat and appropriate footwear.

Mosquitoes and ticks will be active in the park. All participants should be wearing effective insect repellant.

Inspect all of your child's skin and clothing at the conclusion of each trip in the Rouge for any ticks that may be present. If you discover a tick remove it immediately. 

Consider wearing long-sleeved shirts and long pants while in the park.

Some plants aren’t as friendly as others, and Poison ivy is one of them! Poison ivy can be found in the park, and the old adage of “leaves of three, let it be”, is a wise tip to avoid coming in contact with this tricky plant.
